Yade Waheda Develops Novel Low-Viscosity AMPS Copolymer for Water Treatment
Weifang Yade Waheda's R&D center reports a breakthrough in developing a new series of low-viscosity AMPS copolymers specifically engineered for water treatment applications.
Weifang Yade Waheda's R&D center reports a breakthrough in developing a new series of low-viscosity AMPS copolymers specifically engineered for water treatment applications. Traditional sulfonated polymers can face handling and efficacy challenges due to high viscosity. Yade Wahida's innovation leverages unique monomer ratios and controlled polymerization techniques to achieve superior dispersion and scale inhibition efficacy, particularly against calcium sulfate and barium sulfate scales, while maintaining significantly lower solution viscosity. This facilitates easier handling, pumping, and more precise dosing in industrial water systems, reverse osmosis membranes, and desalination plants. Field trials with major international water treatment companies are underway, with commercial availability expected in Q2 2024.
